ACO PAGER™ Message Alert System v6.0. |

You set up the
specific events you want to monitor (e.g message queues (including QHST), job queues,
active jobs, library/file objects, IFS directory objects, spool files,
System i email,
TCP/IP network etc.) and the actions to be performed based on the
System i specific or generic message id and job information. When a
message is sent to a monitored message queue, ACO PAGER™ performs the
appropriate user-defined action. ACO PAGER™ notifies you of important
system events, eliminates unwanted messages, and ensures problem
resolution through message escalation features. |

In addition, ACO
PAGER™'s Job Event Monitor keep's a watchful eye on your system and
forwards results (that you deem significant) to a user-defined message
queue (e.g. QSYSOPR). Once received at the monitored message queue, any
user-defined action can be performed in order to take corrective action.
This powerful feature allows your personnel to be significantly more
pro-active with respect to managing your mission-critical applications
on your System i® (or AS/400®) system. |

Hardware Requirements |
Requires one standard System i V.24 SDLC communications line and one ECS (or
Hayes® compatible) modem (or a properly configured SMTP e-mail connection to the
Internet). Works with all alphanumeric and two-way pagers, properly equipped
cellular phones, and smartphones (like BlackBerry®). |

Software Requirements |
|
ACO PAGER, ACO NET, ACO ESI,
and ACO CLIENT execute on System i® systems (all models) running IBMRelease. ACO Client™ requires WebSphere® Application Server
WASRelease, WebSphere® Application Server - Express,
or any Java JavaVersion compliant web application server like Apache. ACO ESI™
requires a separately licensed copy of ACO PAGER™ and a separately licensed
copy of IBM Tivoli®
TivoliVersion or BMC Patrol Enterprise
Manager®. Your enterprise system software may also require the purchase of
other hardware and licensed software. This hardware and software is available from IBM
(or other business partners) at an additional fee and is
not
included in the purchase of the ACO ESI software product. ACO ESI™
optionally monitors your network connected Windows servers using a Windows
compliant software agent. The Windows agent software is available for purchase (at a nominal fee) from
one of our business partners. |
