NORTHWEST
INDIANA/CHICAGOLAND, October 5, 2001--DDL Systems Consulting, Inc. announces ACO
PAGER Message Alert System Version 4.7. ACO PAGER manages your
System i 24 hours a day and notifies you immediately when problems occur. |
 |
|
You set up the
specific events you want to monitor (e.g message queues (including QHST), job queues,
active jobs, library/file objects, IFS directory objects, spool files,
System i email,
TCP/IP network etc.) and the actions to be performed based on the
System i
specific or generic message id and job information. When a message is sent to a monitored
message queue, ACO PAGER performs the appropriate user-defined action. ACO
PAGER notifies you of important system events, eliminates unwanted messages, and
ensures problem resolution through message escalation features. |
 |
| Version 4.7
offers the following new features: |
-
New ACO ESI Enterprise Servers were developed and integrated into
ACO PAGER that significantly improve performance associated with sending/receiving
messages to/from an enterprise system.
-
Like a job scheduler the ACO Unattended Operations Monitor executes your
commands and application programs based on your user-defined entries. However,
unlike IBM's job scheduler, this scheduling engine can perform even while the system is in
a restricted state. Use this monitor during restricted or non-restricted state
processing to perform "lights-out" operations.
-
Monitor Integrated File System (IFS) directories and optionally move,
copy, or delete IFS objects.
-
Enhanced two-way reply/command engine. Receive reply/command confirmation
messages on your two-way device and/or e-mail client.
-
Monitor library and file object size (including current and deleted
record counts).
-
Monitor spool file events; scan for messages, keywords, and optionally
move, copy, or delete spool files.
-
Monitor distribution queues.
-
Monitor active joblogs for messages or keywords.
-
Support for multiple message action sets and additional generic message
action search capabilities.
-
Expanded job event monitors allow you to quickly identify problem jobs.
